Vancouver, city,south western British Columbia, Canada. It is the major urban centre of western Canada and the focus of one of the country’s most populous metropolitan regions. Vancouver lies between Burrard Inlet (an arm of the Strait of Georgia) to the north and the Fraser River delta to the south, opposite Vancouver Island. The city is just north of the U.S. state of Washington. Vancouver was originally a small sawmilling settlement, called Granville in the 1870s. It was incorporated as a city in April 1886 (just before it became the western terminus of the first trans-Canada railway, the Canadian Pacific) and was renamed to honour the English navigator George Vancouver, of the Royal Navy, who had explored and surveyed the coast in 1792.

A number of bus lines provide services to numerous cities. It is connected to Canadian cities such as Calgary, Edmonton, Kelowna, Squamish, Whistler, Whitehorse etc. Vancouver is also connected to international cities such as Bellingham, Portland, Seattle, Washington etc. The following bus agencies provide their services: BoltBus, Greyhound Canada, Greyhound (USA), Malaspina Coach Lines, Pacific Coach Lines, Perimeter. By Train:Transportation etc. The buses are well-equipped with internet and entertainment facilities. The Railways are another great option to visit Vancouver.
