Dr. Ahmad Shabudin Ariffin is a senior lecturer at Faculty of Business and Management Science, Perlis Islamic College University (KUIPs), Malaysia. He has been appointed as the Director for Research and Innovation Management Centre (RMIC) KUIPs since 1st October 2019 which offers national and international networking, research collaboration as well as community & industry engagement. Dr. Ahmad Shabudin previously has been a senior lecturer at Universiti UtaraMalaysia (UUM) for seven years. During his time, he has published extensively in local and international journals as well books on supply chain and logistics management. He has completed his Bachelor from University of Science Malaysia (USM) and Master’s degree as well as Doctoral degree from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) which broaden her horizon as an academic in technology, operations, and logistics management. Along with his experience and educational background he has been appointed as board of director for KLPK Ternak Sdn. Bhd. Dr. Ahmad Shabudin is a professional membership for International Supply Chain Education Alliance (ISCEA) since October 2021 and also a member for Federation of Malaysian Unit Trust Managers since 2010.

Mingxuan Mao received the Ph.D. degree in control theory and control engineering at Chongqing University in 2017.From June 2016 to June 2017, he was a visiting scholar in University of Leeds, Leeds, U.K., where he was engaged in research on advanced control theory and applications for renewable power generation and power electronics. His research interests include renewableenergy systems, power electronics converterand artificial intelligence algorithm.

Prof. Roberto Fazioli was an Italian economist, researcher, and academic specializing in energy economics, environmental economics, public utilities, and sustainable development. He served as an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics and Management at the University of Ferrara, where he taught courses on energy economics, natural resources, network utilities, and environmental policy.

He earned a PhD in Economics and Institutions and built more than three decades of experience spanning academia, government, and the energy industry. Throughout his career, he held leadership positions in several public utility and energy companies and served as an advisor on renewable energy, infrastructure investment, and public utility regulation. He also contributed as an expert on renewable energy initiatives under Italy's National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) for the Emilia-Romagna Region.

Prof. Fazioli's research focused on renewable energy, environmental sustainability, public economics, energy markets, infrastructure finance, regulation of utilities, and climate policy. He authored numerous scientific publications and books on energy economics and sustainable infrastructure, and was a frequent speaker at international conferences addressing the future of clean energy and environmental governance.

According to published reports, Prof. Roberto Fazioli passed away in January 2026 at the age of 64. He is remembered for his significant contributions to energy economics, renewable energy policy, and the development of public utility management in Italy.

Cristina Saez Blazquez is technical mining engineer (2012) from the University of Salamanca, obtaining an extraordinary prize in this degree. She also has a Degree in Mining and Energy (2014, University of Salamanca), and completed a MS Degree in Laboral Risks in 2013 at the “Camilo José Cela” University and a Mining and Energy MS Degree at the University of León (2018). In 2019, she obtained her PhD with international mention in shallow geothermal resources at the University of Salamanca. During her predoctoral formation, she was awarded by a predoctoral grant from the Spanish Ministry that allowed her being professor at the Higher Polytechnic School of Ávila (University of Salamanca). Additionally, she was a visiting researcher at the University of Vigo (2016), the Polytechnic University of Turin (2017) and the University of Padua (2018). She is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the TIDOP Research Group from the University of Salamanca. She is author of several papers and conference contributions related to the optimization of low enthalpy geothermal systems.

Dr. Julio Terrados holds a Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of Jaén (Spain) since 2005, and Master Degrees both in Aeronautical Engineering (Madrid Polytechnics University, 1989) and in Business Administration MBA (IDEOR, 1994). He teaches and researches at University of Jaén since 1994 and serves currently as Tenured Senior Lecturer at Projects Department. He is also an External Professor at the Universidad Internacional de Andalucia and Visiting Professor at Universidad de Cartagena (Colombia). Dr. Terrados main research interests are focused on sustainable energy planning, renewable resources assessment and strategic planning. He has co-authored twenty-five peer-reviewed papers and twenty- two books and chapters. In addition, he has been main researcher or participant in more than twenty research projects funded by public institutions or private companies.

Dr. Tanya Gupta is a fictional environmental scientist created for demonstration purposes. Her example profile illustrates the type of information commonly included in conference speaker or committee member biographies. Her fictional research interests include renewable energy systems, climate resilience, sustainable urban development, environmental policy, and nature-based solutions.

In this sample role, Dr. Gupta has more than 12 years of academic and research experience, leading multidisciplinary projects on clean energy technologies, carbon neutrality, ecosystem restoration, and green infrastructure. Engr. Jonathan C. Pacaldo is a faculty member in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Palawan State University, Philippines, where he teaches core electrical engineering and higher mathematics courses. He is pursuing a Doctor of Engineering in Energy Systems at the University of San Carlos in Cebu as a Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Graduate Scholar.

His research focuses on renewable energy systems, power systems engineering, energy auditing, sustainable infrastructure, and marine renewable energy. His work is particularly centered on assessing wave energy resources for off-grid and island communities in the Philippines, with the goal of improving energy access while reducing dependence on fossil fuels.

Engr. Pacaldo has collaborated with international researchers, including experts from Universiti Teknologi Petronas, Malaysia, on wave energy resource assessment projects in Palawan. His studies evaluate the feasibility of deploying wave energy converters in remote islands, contributing to sustainable electrification strategies for archipelagic regions. He has presented his research at international conferences on green energy and environmental sustainability and continues to contribute to the advancement of renewable energy technologies for resilient and sustainable island communities.

Dr. Mohammed Hussain Alanbari is an industrial engineer and renewable energy researcher with extensive expertise in industrial automation, control systems, energy technologies, and sustainable engineering solutions. He received his Industrial Engineering degree from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and completed a Master’s degree in Control and Instrumentation and Energy at the University of Brighton, London.

His professional and research career has focused on the integration of advanced engineering technologies with sustainable energy applications. His areas of expertise include industrial automation, process control, instrumentation systems, renewable energy technologies, and advanced materials for energy applications.

Francesca Pantaleone is an Italian researcher specialising in energy economics, sustainability, renewable energy innovation, and green technology development. Her research focuses on the economic and policy dimensions of the energy transition, particularly the role of regulatory frameworks, innovation systems, and investment strategies in accelerating the adoption of clean energy technologies.

She has contributed to research examining the development of green hydrogen, hydrogen technologies, and renewable energy innovation pathways. Her work investigates how energy policies, market structures, and regulatory mechanisms influence technological progress and sustainable energy transitions across countries.

Francesca Pantaleone has collaborated with researchers in the field of energy economics, including work on macroeconomic factors influencing public policy strategies for blue and green hydrogen. Her research contributes to understanding how governments and markets can support emerging clean energy technologies and reduce dependence on fossil fuels.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Xiaohong Yang is a researcher in the field of energy engineering, renewable energy technologies, and sustainable energy systems. She is affiliated with the School of Energy and Power Engineering at Inner Mongolia University of Technology, China. Her research focuses on developing advanced energy conversion technologies, improving renewable energy efficiency, and exploring innovative solutions for sustainable energy applications.

Her scientific work includes research on solar energy systems, thermal energy conversion, hydrogen-related technologies, energy-efficient devices, and advanced materials for energy applications. She has contributed to studies involving solar thermal technologies, photothermal conversion, desalination systems, and thermal management approaches for clean energy applications.
