Prof. Sergey V. Suchkov, MD, PhD, was born in Astrakhan, Russia, and comes from a family of medical doctors. He graduated from Astrakhan State Medical University in 1980 with an MD degree. He subsequently pursued research and postgraduate training at the I.M. Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy and the Institute of Medical Enzymology, receiving his PhD in 1985 and later completing a Doctor Degree at the National Institute of Immunology in Russia in 2001.

His early research career included work in clinical enzymology, medical biotechnology, developmental immunology, and clinical immunology. He served in research and academic positions at several Russian scientific institutions and later headed the Laboratory/Division of Clinical Immunology and Immunobiotechnology at the Helmholtz Eye Research Institute in Moscow. He subsequently served as Chair of Clinical Immunology at the Moscow Clinical Research Institute (MONIKI).

Prof. Suchkov has held professorial and leadership positions at Sechenov University, the Russian University of Medicine, and other Russian academic and research institutions. His work has increasingly focused on personalized and precision medicine, clinical immunology, predictive medicine, biodesign, precision nutrition, translational medicine, and innovative approaches to healthcare.
