Yasuko Fukaya completed her Ph.D. at Tokyo University in 1999. She worked as a Professor of Geriatric Nursing at Tokai University (1998-2014) and as a Professor of Home Care Nursing at Kanto Gakuin University (2014-2019). She has been researching the communication between nurses and older people and published many papers in reputed reputable journals.

In her capacity as a Certified Case Manager, Shannon manages a team that provides home health care to hundreds of patients each year through Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance plans. She is a healthcare clinician and ambitious business consultant who collaborates with a significant staffing company as their Joint Commission Compliance Officer. In addition to a nursing degree, Ms. Brown has a master's degree in health administration.

Dr. Travers is the lead faculty for the MSN-Informatics program at Duke University School of Nursing. Previously she was on the faculty of the University of North Carolina in the Schools of Nursing and Medicine (Emergency Medicine). She has expertise in emergency department triage, ED clinical data systems development and evaluation, population research using ED data, and informatics.

Biography:

Dr. Travers began his career as a paramedic before attending Massachusetts Bay Community College and earning an associate degree in nursing. He went on to earn a bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts. During his time at Greater Lawrence Family Health Center, he earned a Doctorate in Nursing Practice with a concentration in leadership from Regis College. He joined Regis College full-time in January 2018 as an Associate Professor and Community/Public Health Coordinator, and he continues to teach graduate nursing students about the importance of Community/Public Health in keeping people healthy and out of hospitals.

He has written more than 20 publications that have undergone peer and scientific review, three book chapters, and over 20 peer-reviewed articles.
