Craig developed and patented the first heat moulding functional thumb braces in response to his own MCP injury, now copied by many companies. Ankle sprains by recent accounts are the largest single health cost in the world for a joint injury, taking into account long term consequences like reduced lifestyle/span from chronic ankle conditions. Craig set out to prevent the common ankle sprain, adhering to 'Form Follows Function', and in the process learned what surgeons needed for repair. Basically 'we' Athletes wanted to stop ankle sprains, and the surgeons wanted ??? What they wanted was a KiSS. Kinematic intra-articular Support Systems (or Kinetic impulse Suppression Systems in prevention). Currently only available by appointment prior to launch in the US April 2020. The debate around ankle sprain prevention and rehab needs to come out of the 'Silo'. It is clearly not working now, and a lot of the preventable harm is occurring to children, with lifelong consequences.

William Flannery is an otolaryngologist and clinical director from the UK. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in England and a past fellow of Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children in London. He is an alumnus of the Oxford Artificial Intelligence Programme. He has extensive experience of hospital digital roll-out programmes including electronic patient records, speech recognition software deployment at scale and digital hearing aid rollouts.
