Title: The alignment between business sustainability and management accounting

Biography: Zabihollah Rezaee is the Thompson-Hill Chair of Excellence, PhD coordinator and Professor of Accountancy at the University of Memphis and has served a two-year term on the Standing Advisory Group (SAG) of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB). He received his BS degree from the Iranian Institute of Advanced Accounting, his MBA from Tarleton State University in Texas, and his PhD from the University of Mississippi. Dr. Rezaee holds ten certifications, including Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Professor Rezaee has published over 230 articles and made more than 240 presentations, written 12 books and been invited as keynote speaker on business sustainability, corporate governance and Forensic. He is the editor of the Journal of Forensic Accounting Research. He has published four books on business sustainability and his most recent book is “Business Sustainability in Asia” published by John Wily and Sons in March 2019.

He received various academic awards and presented over 30 keynote/plenary speeches in IEEE and other international conferences. He has been serving as an editor-in-chief or an editorial board member for various international journals

He is the Program Director of Youth Overcoming Drug Abuse as well as a managing partner of Bush Counseling Services. For years, his efforts have concentrated on the growing adolescent population within the Middle Tennessee area and surrounding counties, which has led to service through community events, and partnerships with various organizations. He has also provided training's for many audiences, on the topics of Leadership, Managing the Manager, and Discovering your Industrial Lane.

Biography: Joy Lynn Legaspi is an Associate Professor and works at De La Salle University-Manila. She holds a BS in Accountancy and a Certified Public Accountant. She is a graduate of Advanced Professional Diploma in Management Studies at City of London College, Master of Business Administration at Birmingham City University, United Kingdom and Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration at Wesleyan University-Philippines. She has presented an abstract on “Evaluating Management Accounting Tools in SMEs: Issues and Evidence” at the International House, 2018 International Symposium on Business and Management Conference in Osaka, Japan and “Does Management Accounting Information Meet the Needs of SMEs?” An Investigation of Its Usefulness from Manufacturing Enterprise” at the 5th International Conference on Management Research and Advances in Accounting 2018, Langkawi Malaysia. She grew up in province of Nueva Ecija which is best known for being the “Rice Granary of the Philippines” and passionate about teaching, research, travel, and commitment to expanding the body of knowledge, especially in the area of Management Accounting.

Biography: After some years of research in the field of numerical simulation of shallow water waves he started his professional career as environmental and GIS consultant responsible for Central and East Europe. He has been involved in the design and implementation of the first environmental information systems in Germany, Poland, and Ukraine in the 90ies of the last century. From the beginning his focus has been on decentralized structures to manage ventures with high volume and long timeline. The ideas and models have been continuously evaluated in operational work in the public sector, utilities, and transport & logistics. With vast experience in international projects and analyzing large international projects by Quality Assurance and Risk Management, Roland Spranz is working on decentralized management frameworks for transformation processes. Biography: Rui Carvalho holds a Graduation in Economics at ISCTE-IUL and a Master of Philosophy degree in Electric Engineering and Computer Science at Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon and works a freelancer at the moment. Rui has 10 years of experience as researcher in Economics (3 years in Innovation Economics, 1/2 years in creation of pensions’ simulator and 7 to 8 years studying specialization), 6 years as researcher in IT (4 years Master Degree, research papers in Artificial intelligence and 2 years to study renewable sources of energy, a specific technology, at INESC-ID). In 2005 (18 to 21 April) he presented a paper entitled “A Multiagent Systems Approach for Managing Supply-Chain Problems: a learning perspective”, (Carvalho, R. and Custódio, L.) at the Conference “Integration of Knowledge Intensive Multi-Agent Systems”, in Massachusetts, USA. He also has experience in consultancy, as writer and as a very small farmer because he is very interested in environmental conservation.
