Fetal cardiology is a subspecialty of pediatric cardiology. for future fetal cardiologists.Fetal cardiology encompasses:The management of fetuses with CHD; Fetal arrhythmias, and The exploration of fetal myocardial function and cardiocirculatory conditions in high-risk pregnancies.

Maternal-Fetal Medicine, also known as High-Risk Obstetrics, comprehensive range of high-risk pregnancy services including prenatal care and diagnosis, assessment and treatment of fetal disease, high-risk ambulatory and inpatient consultation, state-of-the art obstetrical ultrasound, genetic counseling, social services, support groups and nutrition counseling. Premature and critically ill new-borns are cared for by internationally renowned neonatologists in our state-of-the-art Level III NICU .

Fetal surgery is a highly complex surgical intervention to repair birth defects in the womb that requires the most expert care for both mother and unborn baby. Improved fetal imaging and diagnostic tools have allowed us to identify more precisely when conditions worsen during fetal development. This knowledge has helped us develop new ways to help babies sooner while in utero. Today, fetal therapy is recognized as one of the most promising fields in pediatric medicine, and prenatal surgery is becoming an option for a growing number of babies with birth defects.

Neonatology is a subspecialty of pediatrics that consists of the medical care of newborn infants, especially the ill or premature newborn. It is a hospital-based specialty, and is usually practised in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs).

Perinatal infections include bacterial or viral illnesses that can be passed from a mother to her baby either while the baby is still in the uterus or during the delivery process. Maternal infection can, in some cases, cause complications at birth. The mother may or may not experience active symptoms of the infection during the pregnancy. Some perinatal infections are sexually transmitted.
