Title: Quantum sensing: Detecting the undetectable

Biography: Rachele Cocks is a Principal Investigator for quantum sensing research and development in the Space and Airborne Systems division of L3Harris Technologies. Rachele leads a group of scientists who develop quantum technologies, design space-based sensing systems, and hold expertise in detector physics. Prior to joining L3Harris Technologies, Rachele held various research and development roles in industry. Rachele is a prolific inventor having over 30 patents including, most recently awarded “On-orbit calibration system and associated control”. Rachele holds a Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago; a Masters of Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University; an MBA from Indiana University; a Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics from Purdue University; Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Purdue University and is currently completing her Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Mississippi State and Masters in Optical Sciences from the University of Arizona
