Title: Effects of COVID-19 lockdown on medication adherence and lifestyle changes among patients with selected non communicable disease in Eastern Nepal

Biography:

Dr. Kumud Chapagain is a Clinical Pharmacologist by profession and works as an Associate
Professor at B P Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Nepal. She holds an MBBS from the
University of Science and Technology, Chittagong, Bangladesh, and an MD in Clinical
Pharmacology from the Institute of Medicine, Nepal. She is her batch topper in the MBBS and
the gold medalist in her MD Clinical Pharmacology. Currently, she is pursuing Postgraduate
Medical Education in Global Clinical Scholars Research Training at Harvard Medical School in
Boston, Massachusetts, USA. She is also pursuing her Medical Education Fellowship,
Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER) at
Southern Medical University - FAIMER Regional Institute, in Guangzhou, China. Dr. Kumud
has 10 years of practice as a Clinical Pharmacologist, a researcher, and an academician and has
published more than 15 research articles in various national and international indexed journals
and has been actively involved in various clinical research and academic activities in Nepal.

Title: COVID-19 Vaccine Safety Surveillance & its Tribulations: Experience from oneyear surveillance

Biography:

Dr. Juny completed all her studies from JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru and started her
career as an academician in 2010. Her Doctoral Research was in the area of Vaccinology and
continued her research in the field of ‘Vaccinology’ and ‘Pediatric Pharmacy Practice’. She
coordinated vaccine safety studies of JSS Hospital, Multi Country Collaborative vaccine
safety studies of World Health Organization (WHO) and various medicine and vaccine trials.
She is a recipient of fellowship from International Vaccine Institute (IVI), Seoul, Korea in
2014. Currently she has more than 60 publications in peer-reviewed journals, 25 scientific
presentations national/ international conferences in her credit and delivered more than 40
talks in scientific seminars/conferences. She is also a recipient of scholarships and travel
grants from various national or international agencies.
