The Longdom Awards recognize outstanding achievements and impactful contributions across the fields of forensic science, medical forensics, research technology, criminal investigation, and advanced forensic applications. These awards are presented annually during the conference to celebrate excellence, innovation, and leadership.
Award Categories
1. Best Oral Presentation Award
Presented to the speaker who delivers an exceptional oral presentation, assessed on scientific depth, clarity, structure, and professional delivery.
2. Best Poster Presentation Award
Awarded for excellence in poster design, research quality, clarity of data presentation, and effective communication of scientific findings.
3. Young Researcher Award
Recognizes outstanding work by early-career researchers under 35, based on innovation, scientific advancement, and potential for future impact.
4. Best Research Paper Award
Given to the most distinguished research paper submitted, considering originality, methodological rigor, relevance to forensic science, and overall contribution to the field.
5. People’s Choice Award
Voted by participants, this award honors the most engaging and influential presentation or research work featured at the conference.
Judging Criteria
Scientific Quality: Originality, research integrity, and relevance to forensic sciences
Clarity & Structure: Well-organized presentation of objectives, methods, results, and conclusions
Innovation & Impact: Novel concepts, technological advancements, or significant contributions to forensic science
Presentation Skills: Clarity of speech, visual quality, and effective delivery
Poster Design (for poster award): Layout, readability, graphics, and overall visual appeal
