International Conference on

Automobile Engineering Hybridization and Electrification

LONGDOM proffers our immense pleasure and honour in extending you a warm invitation to attend Automobile Expo. It is focusing on Hybridization and Electrification of Automobiles to enhance and explore knowledge among Automobile and Electrical Departments and to establish corporations and exchanging ideas. Providing the right stage to present stimulating Keynote talks, Plenary sessions, Discussion Panels, B2B Meetings, Poster symposia, Video Presentations, and Workshops.

Our Mission :
The main aim of this conference is to highlight matters that present considerable Automobile Engineering concern but lack the emphasis on the more conventional subjects. Guided by a line-up of expert speakers, the agenda will address some of the major issues related to Automobile Engineering, those entering the care system and examine the support needed to ensure that public receive the best possible care and can look forward to a bright future.

Our Vision :
A key element of General Motors' Advanced Propulsion Technology Strategy is the electrification of the automobile. The objectives of this strategy are reduced fuel consumption, reduced emissions and increased energy security/diversification. The introduction of hybrid vehicles was one of the first steps as a result of this strategy. To determine future opportunities and direction, an extensive study was completed to better understand the ability of Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV) and Extended-Range Electric Vehicles (E-REV) to address societal challenges.

An electric car consists of a battery, an electric motor, and a controller. The motor is powered by batteries by using the electrical energy and converting it to kinetic energy. The controller regulates the energy flow to the electric motor. An electric car stores its energy on board in batteries. The two main types of electric cars are:

  1. All electric
  2. Hybrid.

All-electric cars run only on batteries that are charged up by an electrical outlet and are only powered by the electric motor.

Hybrid Electric Vehicles are powered by an electric motor and a gasoline engine. Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs) use drivetrains.

Electric Car Considerations :
There is no doubt that electric cars can be built and sold by major car companies. The question is can they be manufactured and sold for profit. Two other considerations with electric cars are their effect on the environment and the cost of creating the infrastructure needed to produce, repair and fuel electric cars.

Environmental Aspects :
The electric car has always been promoted because of its positive effects environmentally. The most popular advantage is that all-electric cars produce no roadside emissions. Other advantages are that electric cars produce no smog, smoke, odour or noise. All electric cars reduce our dependence on and use of foreign oil. This is because all electric cars require no gasoline or oil to operate. Hybrids also raise mileage per gallon compared to gasoline cars. Therefore, even hybrids can significantly reduce our use of foreign oil and the conflict surrounding it. Another advantage is that the only solid waste is the batteries. Also lead-acid batteries are 97% recyclable. Electric cars will continue to have a positive effect on our environment as they reduce and eliminate our roadside emissions.

Automotive Engineering, along with aerospace engineering and marine engineering, is a branch of vehicle engineering, incorporating elements of mechanical, electrical, electronic, software and safety engineering as applied to the design, manufacture and operation of motorcycles, automobiles and trucks and their respective engineering subsystems.

It also includes modification of vehicles. Manufacturing domain deals with the creation and assembling the whole parts of automobiles is also included in it. The automotive engineering field is research-intensive and involves direct application of mathematical models and formulas. The study of automotive engineering is to design, develop, fabricate, and testing vehicles or vehicle components from the concept stage to production stage. Production, development, and manufacturing are the three major functions in this field.

Venue(Berlin,Germany):

Berlin is the capital and largest city of Germany by both area and population. Its 3,769,495 inhabitants, as of 31 December 2019 makes it the most-populous city of the European Union, according to population within city limits. One of Germany's 16 constituent states, Berlin is surrounded by the state of Brandenburg, and contiguous with Potsdam, Brandenburg's capital. Berlin's urban area has a population of around 4.5 million and is the second most populous urban area in Germany after the Ruhr. The Berlin-Brandenburg capital region has about six million inhabitants and is Germany's third-largest metropolitan region after the Rhine-Ruhr and Rhine-Main regions.

Berlin straddles the banks of the River Spree, which flows into the River Havel (a tributary of the River Elbe) in the western borough of Spandau. Among the city's main topographical features are the many lakes in the western and southeastern boroughs formed by the Spree, Havel, and Dahme rivers (the largest of which is Lake Müggelsee). Due to its location in the European Plain, Berlin is influenced by a temperate seasonal climate. About one-third of the city's area is composed of forests, parks, gardens, rivers, canals and lakes. The city lies in the Central German dialect area, the Berlin dialect being a variant of the Lusatian-New Marchian dialects

Future Transportation:

The Future of transportation involves moving into new, smarter sources of energy, modes of transport and physical and technological infrastructure to support these transportation innovations. Three common themes in transportation innovation are: Smart technology, Electrification & Autonomy.

New transportation innovations:

Autonomous aerial vehicles,

Hoverbikes,

Self-driving taxis,

The Hyperloop,

Autonomous Vehicles:

A self-driving car, also known as an autonomous vehicle (AV or auto), driverless car, or robo-car is a vehicle that is capable of sensing its environment and moving safely with little or no human input.

Self-driving cars combine a variety of sensors to perceive their surroundings, such as  radar, lidar, sonar, GPS, odometry and inertial measurement units. Advanced control systems interpret sensory information to identify appropriate navigation paths, as well as obstacles and relevant signage.

Solar cars:

A solar car is a solar vehicle used for land transport. Solar cars usually run on only power from the sun, although some models will supplement that power using a battery, or use solar panels to recharge batteries or run auxiliary systems for a car that mainly uses battery power.

Solar cars combine technology typically used in the aerospace, bicycle, alternative energy and automotive industries. The design of a solar vehicle is severely limited by the amount of energy input into the car. Most solar cars have been built for the purpose of solar car races. Some prototypes have been designed for public use, and the Lightyear One solar charged battery electric vehicle is expected to be available starting in 2021; currently, no cars primarily powered by the sun are available commercially.

Noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH):

Noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH), also known as noise and vibration (N&V), is the study and modification of the noise and vibration characteristics of vehicles, particularly cars and trucks. While noise and vibration can be readily measured, harshness is a subjective quality, and is measured either via "jury" evaluations, or with analytical tools that can provide results reflecting human subjective impressions. These latter tools belong to the field known as "psychoacoustics."

The Impact of Robotic Process Automation:

The advent of Robotic Method Automation (RPA) was a key milestone for the event automotive trade. Automation refers to the use of machines to perform tasks that had previously been undertaken by humans, which reduces the error rate and enhances the management of repeatable tasks. Most prevalent applications are curve welding, plasma cutting, laser cutting, BIW welding lines, palatalizing, tending robots on press machines, CNC machines and so on.
